These last few weeks were very hectic. When I end up living in busy life mode. Photography as a hobby tends to be given the cold shoulder. I would of course have photographic assignments which I would enjoy doing but I would really miss the part where photography helps me rest and forget the daily aches and pains.
This weekend I finally had some time to relax. Whilst going out with my friends, one of my kids started to play with the daughters of my friends and my youngest he was happily wondering on his own. He was happy playing under a tree. He started to invent some mischief by throwing stones up in the air and happily seeing them falling down. That was the moment I knew it was time to occupy him. So I took my camera and asked him if he wanted to come with me and find some insects and flowers.
We spent a blissful 30 minutes finding different creatures and plants. My son enjoyed every moment and so did I. Probably it is of of those hopes parents have that one day my children will both share the same passion as I and we go out and together have some fun snapping photos.
The 30 minutes I’ve spent with my son were the best 30 minutes I’ve had in weeks. I’ve managed to relax and forget my thoughts and pressure that I’ve felt in the last few days.
